challenge of the week: GMO awareness.
It is GMO awareness week here at RH! Participate in any way you see fit – here are some ideas:
- Don’t eat any GMOs this week.
- Teach others about GMOs (it never fails to amaze me how many people don’t know what a GMO actually is!).
- Boycott companies (even the “organic” ones!) who are “parented” by larger corporations who oppose GMO labeling/transparency.
- Learn about GMO legislation in your state.
- Conduct independent research to educate yourself about why you should avoid bioengineered foods.
- Share what you learn from your independent research with your family and friends.
- If you are in California talk to people about voting yes on Prop 37, because we have a right to know!
- If you are in a state outside of California consider joining/starting groups that work on GMO labeling in your area.
